There is not a day that goes by where people are accessing videos online to learn how to do something. Videos can have a place in the educational setting as well. Teachers have been found creating their own videos to serve as a support and resource for students to review concepts. Students have been found creating videos to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of a topic. Screencasting is a term that is used when a person wants to record their computer screen to help demonstrate the important idea or concept.
During this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create their own short (less than 5 minute) screencasts with ease of a free tool called Screencastify. At the end of the workshop, participants will have a couple of screencasts that they can implement into their classes.
