Thursday, November 7, 2024
3:30pm - 4:30pm ET
Innovation can't be forced and fostering innovation requires more than just creative ideas - it demands an environment where educators feel psychologically safe to take risks, share bold ideas, and challenge the status quo. This session will explore how psychological safety serves as the foundation for innovative thinking, drawing on the principles of Mandy Froehlich’s Hierarchy of Needs for Innovation and Divergent Thinking. We will discuss the elements that contribute to psychological safety in educational settings, including trust, inclusivity, and the freedom to fail without fear of judgment. Participants will leave with actionable strategies to build and maintain a culture that nurtures innovation through psychological safety. Presented by Mandy Froehlich
