Gamifying Civics

Join us to explore gamification in the classroom and discuss how it can help you increase student participation and support SEL during civics lessons.

• Michelle Blanchet, author of Preventing Polarization: 50 Strategies to Teach Kids about Empathy, Politics, and Civic Responsibility, will join us to discuss how we might use games to bridge the gap between SEL and civic engagement. We’ll discuss gamification in the classroom as well as some activities and games that will take civics lessons to the next level while supporting students’ social-emotional needs.
