We welcome you to join the four leading educational organizations in the Commonwealth–MASCD, MassCUE, MSLA, and GBH Education–for a late afternoon “back-to-school” event on August 25, 2022. Our focus will be on creativity…a perfect theme for our venue, the Mosesian Center for the Arts in Watertown, MA. Join us for a keynote with Marta Garcia, 2022 MA Teacher of the Year, followed by Creativity Rounds, a format for networking and sharing ideas. Light refreshments will also be served.

Marta Garcia, M.Ed.
Marta García, M. Ed. is an elementary school ESL teacher in Salem, Mass. She has worked in Salem for 15 years as a teacher and advocate for the immigrant and multilingual community, and before that in California and Spain. She has been awarded as the Massachusetts Teacher of the Year 2022, and she is using that platform to “amplify students’ voices and the voices of the immigrant/bilingual families, who care deeply about the education of their children.”
