Session Offerings

MassCUE is pleased to announce another Palooza one-day event focused on tools to support teaching and learning in the classroom. Learn the latest and greatest tools for tackling assessment, creativity, STEM and diverse learning styles! Some featured tools include Desmos, Edpuzzle, Screencastify, Plickers, GoFormative and much more! Workshops will demonstrate best practices for use of tools during hybrid and fully in-person learning. Attendees have their choice of four sessions during the event, then all sessions will be on-demand through September 30, 2021. Sign up to learn a new tool or do a deeper dive into one you might already be using!

How to Keep Student Information Safe When Learning Online

image Ramah HawleyUnsurprisingly, we saw an explosion in the use of digital tools for remote learning during the pandemic. Districts are now sharing student information with hundreds of EdTech providers. What are companies doing with this student data? What steps can teachers take to protect student information and ensure compliance with federal and state privacy laws?

Rochelle Cooper

Rochelle has been a certified educator for the past 19 years.  She is currently the K-12 Digital Learning Coach for Lynnfield Public Schools. Prior to this role, Rochelle worked as the Learning Services Assistant for MassCUE – coordinating professional development opportunities for educators and administrators. She has consulted with schools around the state to support their digital learning needs. She began her teaching career as a special education 1:1 aide and spent the next 10 years as a 5th grade classroom teacher at Lynnfield Middle School.   Rochelle received her undergraduate degree in English from Holy Cross College and her Masters Degree in Teaching from Simmons College.

Kristin Daley Conti

image Kristin DaleyKristin is a seventh grade, Lead Science Teacher, at Tantasqua Junior High School, a regional school in central Massachusetts. She has been in the classroom for over 20 years. Kristin is also a Level 1 Google Certified Educator, Wakelet Community Member, Flipgrid Certified Educator, Quizizz Certified Game Changer, and member of the MassCueProfessional Development Committee. Kristin is also a member of the Professional Development Committee in her own district and is an advocate for using ed-tech in the classroom.

Erin Foley

Erin FoleyErin is the Digital Literacy Specialist at Hanover Middle School in Hanover, MA, and has been a member of the MassCUE Professional Development Committee since 2019. Erin is also a Level 2 Google Certified Educator and a Google for Education Certified Trainer. She has 14 years of experience as a classroom teacher with 11 of those years specifically in the field of instructional technology and digital literacy. Erin is a member of the Hanover Public Schools Technology Committee and has led multiple trainings to assist teachers in transitioning to a hybrid learning environment. Erin has a M.A.T. degree from Quinnipiac University and holds 4 Massachusetts teaching licenses: Digital Literacy/Computer Science (5-12), Instructional Technology (K-12), Elementary (1-6), and Mathematics (5-8).

 

Jen Thomas

Jen ThomasJen Thomas is a passionate technology educator who began her career in education as a library media specialist. After twelve years in the school library, she decided to shift her role and is now the Instructional Technology Specialist at Dartmouth High School in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. She is dedicated to empowering teachers and students and has a strong interest in planning and delivering professional development in all aspects of educational technology. Jen is a Level 2 Google Certified Educator, Google Certified Trainer, and facilitates online professional development courses with a number of non-profit educational organizations. She is also a member of the first MassCUE Champions Cohort.

 

Craig Sheil

image Craig SCraig is a Digital Learning Specialist at Bedford High School, a public school in Bedford, NH. He has been in the educational field for over 18 years – where he initially started out sharing his love for mathematics to high school students. Craig enjoys inspiring educators using technology purposefully and effectively at workshops, conferences, graduate courses, or at his school. All sponsorships are filled.

We are looking for four sponsors for this one-day event at $400 each. Sponsorships are available on a first come, first serve basis. 

Sponsorship includes: 

  • Logo on MassCUE event page, as well as event platform 
  • Vendor video message area on event platform
  • One 45- minute live virtual workshop that will also be placed on the on-demand section of the event for later viewing (on-demand section will be available until 9/30/21) 
  • Two registrations for the event

Expected Demographics 

We expect 140 educators (Administrators, Integration Specialists, Classroom Teachers, Content Coordinators, etc.) for this event.
