Googlepalooza

MassCUE’s Googlepalooza event is a full day of G Suite for Education hands-on workshops taught by experienced Google Certified Trainers and Educators to promote better learning in the classroom. Participants will have a choice between presentations at varied ability levels – all covering a wide variety of G Suite tools, devices (Chromebooks, iPads, Android Tablets), teaching strategies, and implementation.  All of this learning for just $65 (fee includes lunch.)

Jennifer Judkins

Jennifer Judkins HeadshotJennifer is the Director of Technology & Innovation for Woburn Public Schools in Massachusetts. She is an experienced middle and high school science teacher, and former life science researcher. As regular presenter at regional and national conferences, Jenn shares her passion for meaningful integration of digital tools by helping teachers gain confidence and proficiency in their use of technology. She curates useful technology resources, tip sheets and integration ideas for educators on her blog, www.teachingforward.net and is a co-host on the TechEducator Podcast.  Jenn is a Google for Education Certified Trainer, Raspberry Pi Certified Educator, 2016 MassCUE Pathfinder, PBS Lead Digital Innovator. Jonathan Schmid

Jonathan is the Director of Innovation & Technology at The Meadowbrook School of Weston, Massachusetts, which was recently recognized as an exemplar school by the Partnership for 21st Century Learning. He has presented at numerous conferences such as ISTE, NAIS, MASSCUE, and AISNE on subjects including Digital Citizenship, Design Thinking, 3D Printing and Making. Julie Spang

Julie Spang HeadshotJulie is a former Grade 3-12 classroom teacher and currently the Digital Learning Coach for Groton Dunstable Regional Middle School.  She is a Google for Education Certified Trainer, co-organizer of Edcamp Grafton & North Shore, MakerSpace enthusiast and presenter at MassCUE and Christa McAuliffe Technology conferences.  She delivers professional development in and out of the district and supports teachers in the meaningful integration of technology in the classroom. Rochelle Cooper

Rochelle has been a certified MA educator for 18 years. She received her undergraduate degree in English from Holy Cross College and her Master’s Degree in Teaching from Simmons College. Rochelle began her teaching career as a special education 1:1 paraprofessional and spent the next 11 years as a 5th grade classroom teacher at Lynnfield Middle School. Since 2011, Rochelle’s “educator” path has taken on a new dimension in her work as a Digital Learning Consultant. In this role, Rochelle works with districts, schools and educators to assist with technology training and integration. She is also the curator and facilitator of many online courses and professional development opportunities for educators – offered through both MassCUE and Salem State Collaborative. Rochelle is the Learning Services Assistant for MassCUE (Massachusetts Computer Using Educators) — an organization specializing in ongoing, high-quality professional learning opportunities for educators.

 

Brandon Hall

Brandon is the Director of Instructional Technology for the Pembroke Public Schools. Prior to his current role, he was a high school social studies teacher for 15 years in Pembroke. Brandon has a BA in History and Education from Stonehill College, a MEd from UMass Boston, and a post-graduate certificate from The George Washington University in Educational Technology. He provides on-going professional development and support for teachers in Pembroke as well as at various conferences such as MassCUE, Googlepalooza, and ISTE. Brandon is a member of the Southeast, Cape and Islands Technology Administrators group, a Google Certified Trainer, and an Apple Certified Teacher as well as a Seesaw, Flipgrid, and iCivics ambassador. David Saunders

David is the Director of Innovation at the Fenn School in Concord, MA. He has an abiding love of good design, inquiry-based learning, and strong coffee. David plays guitar, keyboard, and vocals for an all-teacher rock band named TigerStrype and is currently learning how to be an effective Dungeon Master while running three Dungeons and Dragons campaigns.You can often find David in the iLab tinkering with this or that. He’s a TED-Ed Innovative Educator, Google Certified Innovator, Trainer, and Administrator, Google Earth Education Advisor, Raspberry Pi Certified Educator, CUE Rockstar faculty member, and CUE SteamPunk advisor and Lead Learner.[/paragraph]

 

Colleen Terrill

Colleen is currently the Director  of Technology and Digital Learning for Seekonk Public Schools. Prior to her current position she worked for Mashpee Public Schools for 20 years. She provides ongoing professional development for teachers in her district where she focuses on the importance of balance between technology and curriculum. Colleen is a regular presenter at regional and national conferences such as MassCUE, ACTEM, Christa McAuliffe Technology Conference, CoSN, ISTE and many others. She was a Keynote Panel Presenter for the New England 1:1 Summit. She is also an Associate Professor through the Extended Campus Program at Fitchburg State University where she teaches Explicit Instruction as well as Technology Integration in the Classroom.  She also holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership.

Cost $65.00 (fee includes lunch) Cancellation Policy:  Cancellations are allowed up to 5 days before the event. After that time if you are unable to attend the event you may either send another colleague in your place or pay the $25 cancellation fee.
