Digital Educator Recognition Program
Updated January 2022
MassCUE would like to recognize educators as lifelong learners with our micro-credentialing program.
Earn up to four badge levels, along with added benefits to your MassCUE membership! Display the badges you earn proudly on your website, social media channels and all forms of digital communication!
Special Note: In the fall of 2021 we reviewed our program and updated Badges 1-3 as of January 2022. Educators who have earned badges do not need to redo the program, but we encourage educators who have not participated to start with the Level 1 Explorer Badge.
Level 1 Badge: Explorer
Complete the designated modules using the self-paced Infobase Learning Cloud online learning system and earn your first badge.
Getting Started:
- Complete the Digital Educator Level 1 Registration Form
- Sign in to Infobase Learning with your email and password provided to you when you joined MassCUE
- Search for the MassCUE Pathway
- Complete the following 2 required modules:
- Teaching Online Master Class
- Teacher Tech Workshop: Computational Thinking
- Submit a completion form for MassCUE’s review and badge verification

Level 2 Badge: Apprentice
Level 2 Apprentice Badges can be earned only after completion of Level 1. Complete the designated modules using the self-paced Infobase Learning Cloud online learning system and earn your second badge.
Apprentice Badge Requirements:
- To access Level 2, complete the Digital Educator Level 2 Registration Form
- Sign in to Infobase Learning with your email and password
- Search for the MassCUE Pathway
- Complete the following 3 required modules:
- Google Docs and Drive for Educators
- Google Forms for Educators
- Google Sheets for Educators
- Submit a completion form for MassCUE’s review and badge verification

Level 3 Badge: Integrator
Please complete Levels 1 and 2 prior to getting started on Level 3. Complete the designated modules using the self-paced Infobase Learning Cloud online learning system and earn your third badge!
Integrator Badge Requirements:
- To access Level 3, complete the Digital Educator Level 3 Registration Form
- Sign in to Infobase Learning with your email and password
- Search for the MassCUE Pathway
- Complete the following 2 required modules:
- Teaching Coding in the Classroom
- Coding Skills
- Submit a completion form for MassCUE’s review and badge verification

Level 4 Badge: Mentor
Please complete Level 1 Explorer, Level 2 Apprentice, and Level 3 Integrator Programs prior to beginning Level 4.
Mentor Badge Requirements:
- To access Level 4, complete the Digital Educator Level 4 Registration Form
- Sign in to Infobase Learning with your email and password
- Search for the MassCUE Pathway
- Complete the following modules:
- Leadership in the 21st Century Education
- Mentorship and Reflection
- Mentorship opportunities must be completed within 6 months of completing the Level 4 Mentor modules
- Submit a completion form for MassCUE’s review and badge verification

- What are micro credentials?
- Micro-credentials may be used to demonstrate to anyone that you’ve mastered a certain skill set. Because of this, micro-credentials are useful for those seeking employment or career advancement opportunities.
- Do I have to be a MassCUE member to participate?
- Yes, all participants must be members of MassCUE in order to gain free access to Infobase Learning Cloud and to earn MassCUE badges.
- Do I need to complete the all the levels and in the order listed above?
- Yes. We acknowledge that some levels may be easier for the more experienced educator. However, attaining each level shows us further evidence of life-long learning.
- Is there a cost?
- No, but you must be a MassCUE member to participate.
- Do I pay for membership in Infobase Learning Cloud in order to complete the modules?
- No, it is part of your membership. Once you join MassCUE you should have been given an account.
- How do I log into Infobase Learning?
- Sign in to Infobase Learning with your email and password, which you should have received when you became a MassCUE member.
